Course Overview
Our IATP Approved Duty to Manage course is aimed at duty holders and appointed persons under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2021, the Duty to Manage Asbestos in Non-Domestic Premises.
This session would allow you to extend your asbestos knowledge to include a basic understanding of the legislative requirements of CAR 2012 with particular reference to the Duty Holder and who that can be, the surveys available, what to expect in a survey and the asbestos management plan and its use.
Please note all attendees must have completed Asbestos Awareness training (either IATP or UKATA) within the past six months in order to be able to complete the course.

Our ‘Duty to Manage’ session includes:
- Regulation 4 – Duty to Manage Asbestos in Non-Domestic Premises
- Asbestos in the Housing Sector
- Asbestos Surveying, HSG264 and Survey Reports
- Asbestos Management Plan
- Asbestos remediation work – the difference between work categories.

If you have a few colleagues who would like to attend the course, it may be more cost effective for us to run this virtually for you, on an in-house basis. This can be done via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
If you'd like an in-house course but would prefer this to be face-to-face, our trainer can come to your organisation and deliver this course in person.
