Course Overview
The IATP Approved Asbestos Awareness session has been designed to be split into three ‘toolbox’ sessions so it’s easy for delegates to digest the information. The course follows the overall IATP syllabus and we have been approved to deliver the training in this way.
This course will be held ‘live online’ on 21st April 2027, taking place from 9:00am – 12:30pm.
Price: £119 + VAT* including lunch handouts and an IATP certificate (issued on successful completion of course)

What’s Covered?
The IATP Approved Asbestos Awareness session has been designed to be split into three ‘toolbox’ sessions so it’s easy for delegates to digest the information. The course follows the overall IATP syllabus and we have been approved to deliver the training in this way:
- Session 1 – Asbestos properties, history of use and health effects.
- Session 2 – The types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in buildings.
- Session 3 – The main statutory provisions that relate to asbestos, how to avoid the risks and understanding the correct procedures to follow in an emergency.
Learning Outcomes
The Asbestos Awareness training course is designed to raise your awareness of asbestos and the materials it can be found in. The knowledge you gain from this training will aid in preventing you from accidentally disturbing asbestos and exposing yourself and others to asbestos fibres.
This course provides basic information relating to how asbestos should be managed within the workplace and detail the possible health effects that are associated with asbestos exposure.
