Course Overview
This informative training course provides an overview of the requirements of the CDM 2015 Regulations and sets out the specific duties of clients and other duty holders in relation to construction projects and defines how to apply CDM in your workplace.
The course applies each stage of CDM, design stage, pre-construction stage, construction stage and post completion stage to your specific requirements and confirms who the client is, ensuring suitable arrangements for managing the construction project are in place as well as assembling the project team (principal designers, designers, principal contractors, contractors) and notification requirements (Form F10rev).
In addition, the course looks at the appointment of principal designers, principal contractors, designers and contractors and resource checks required to ensure competence, the preparation and issue of pre-construction information and the health and safety file requirements.
What’s Covered?
This detailed training course is aimed at all delegates who require an understanding of how to apply CDM in their workplace. The course aims to define and align CDM 2015 into the specific work needs of individuals by applying each stage of CDM – design stage, pre-construction stage, construction stage and post completion stage to a learner’s specific requirements. The main topics include:
- Who is the client in your organisation?
- The legal position of the client
- Ensuring suitable arrangements for managing the project are in place
- Assembling the project team (principal designers, designers, principal contractors and contractors)
- Notification requirements (Form F10rev)
- Appointing principal designers and principal contractors
- Appointing designers and contractors
- Competence and resource checks (skills, knowledge and experience)
- Maintaining and reviewing the management arrangements
- Pre-construction information (preparation and issuing)
- Design risk management
- The construction phase plan
- The health and safety file requirements.
Learning Outcomes
This virtual training session is delivered ‘live’ by our knowledgeable and professional trainer and is interactive, encouraging delegate participation, to ensure skills learnt will be able to be confidently applied in practice; there will be ample time for delegates to ask questions throughout the session.
Delegates will understand how to apply CDM in their own workplace by applying each stage of CDM – design stage, pre-construction stage, construction stage and post completion stage to the specific requirements of an organisation.
An e-certificate of attendance and emailed copy of the slide presentation in a handy note format will be provided for all delegates who attended the session.
