Asbestos removal is an integral part of the asbestos management toolkit but should we place ‘blind faith’ in the contractors we appoint for this work?
This course aims to provide delegates with an improved confidence in respect to asbestos remediation works by providing clarity and education in this area.
In addition, the course focuses on the requirements of licensed asbestos remediation works and the perils and pitfalls that can be avoided with appropriate planning and knowledge.
The session concludes with a discussion and the provision of information on how systems need to be updated following any remedial works and how this may look within different organisations.

Learning Outcomes
This course will allow delegates to understand current best working practice for asbestos remediation work (including encapsulation, sealing and removal operations) and will ensure they are able to identify examples of poor working practices and procedures in practical situations.
In addition, they will understand the role of the analyst, air monitoring techniques and the four-stage clearance procedure.
