E-learning: Stress Management Basics

Course Overview

Picture this: your big project is behind schedule, your mum’s unwell, there are five million things to sort out at home, and it feels like you have to squeeze a week’s work into a day. How would that make you feel?

You’d probably be really stressed! We’ve all felt this way at some point. Stress is your body’s natural response to pressure as it prepares you for a survival situation. It’s unlikely that your project deadline will turn into a fight-or-flight event, but your body doesn’t know that, so it primes you as best it can.

Although this can be positive in the short term by sharpening our focus, it can be physically and mentally harmful in the long term. It’s important to realise when you’re feeling stressed, so you can do something about it sooner rather than later. We’ll provide guidance on how to do this throughout the course.
