Course Overview
The specialists at Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd used their first-hand experience and knowledge to develop this bespoke version of the ever-popular IOSH training course. Tailored specifically for those operating in the social housing sector, whether you are a housing officer, trades operative or office-based member of the team, the training is aimed at those at any level who need a grounding in the essentials of safety and health.
Working Safely is a completely different approach to safety and health training; it’s a high-impact programme designed to be fun and get people fully involved. The first-class, jargon-free content is based on what people need to know in practice, and not off-putting legal language and is specifically relevant to those operating in the social housing sector.
It gives everyone at work an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and does it in an enjoyable way.
What’s Covered?
The course is split into four parts:
- Introducing working safely
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving safety performance
At the end of the day delegates will be assessed via a question paper and hazard spotting exercise.

- Identify everyone’s responsibilities in relation to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace.
- Define key terms in safety and health.
- Identify workplace hazards and risks, their impact and how to control them.
- Identify ways safety, health and wellbeing are managed and improved within the workplace.
